I just got back from the ITG conference. Schilke took the Bb S32 and S22 as well as the C S22 design and used a heavier gauge of metal to create a darker core to the tone. They are normal looking trumpets and do not have sheet bracing or extra metal attached like some of us speculated when Schilke first "teased" about the HD.
Basically they are an improvement on the S line by adding the HD leadpipe and receiver. They had some HD examples in silver and Gold plating and believe it or not, raw brass. Yes a Schilke in raw brass.
For you Schilke purest who are having a convulsion over the last statement, just remember that the S line is not one of Ren's oiginal designs. Any thing the old man came up with will remain unmolested. So don't look for the raw brass option for the B series or any other Schilke for that matter.
The HD horns I played were very good. For those players who want the quality of workmanship Schilke is known for but prefer a heavier weight horn should give the HD a try.
Kortom: het lijkt erop dat ze een standaard model gemaakt hebben o.b.v. experimenten die ze in de jaren tachtig al gedaan hebben (S serie met dikker koper en andere receivers).
