Vrijdagmorgen is in zijn huis in Parijs Pierre Thibaud overleden. Pierre Thibaud was lange tijd een van de meest gewilde trompetdocenten ter wereld. Onder zijn oud-leerlingen mag hij bekende solisten zoals Hakan Hardenberger en Reinhold Friedrich rekenen, maar ook Nederlanders zoals bijvoorbeeld Frits Damrow. Van trumpetherald: Citaat: The ceremony happens in a church in the 17th arrondissement of Paris not far from his living place.
The familly was affected, I felt sadness of course and and a lot of respect among the people who were there A lot of trumpet player were here. I will probably forget many, but i recognise : Pierre Pollin, Claude Vasse, Hakan Hardenberger, Otto Sauter, Eric Aubier, Antoine Curé, Jean-Jacques Gaudon, Bruno Nouvion, Pierre Gillet, Dominique Collemare, Patrick Fabert, and many others..... The Paris trumpet ensemble (Nouvion, Gillet, Collemare, Fabert, ...) played the fugue from Bach, the winter from the four saisons Jean-Jacques Gaudon played Marcello's second movement with organ, a Bach's choral. On November 20th a concert in Pierre Thibaud's memory will happen in Paris |
