Joe was born in Providence Rhode Island. While attending Berklee College of Music he was recruited by Buddy Rich who he toured and recorded with.
Since then Joe Giorgianni has toured with Maynard Ferguson, Blood Sweat and Tears, Toshiko Akyoshi, Louie Bellson, Natalie Cole, Liza Minelli, Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme among others.
Joe's recent activities include performing at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival with Claudio Roditi, playing lead trumpet for Barry Manilow on ABC Live New Years 2000, performances and recording in Moscow, Russia with the Igor Butman Big Band, and playing first trumpet for the final portion of the Joni Mitchell 'Both Sides Now' tour.
